How deep are your roots? And where are you rooted? And I think it is a legitimate question, especially since we just finished 2022 and we are facing 2023. Well, in the case of Jane and me, we really have been rooted, first of all, in knowing that we are His. That is huge. Also being rooted in the promises that He gave us in His Word. And then thirdly, we've been rooted also in all the prayers that you guys have sent our ways. And I think if we were to rely or put roots into work, friends, possessions, hobbies, those are roots as well, but they're shallow roots. And I don't think that the heavier storm will allow us to sustain the impact in a way that we have been able to by hanging on to those three points.
