Think of Peter reneging Christ. Think of Paul who describes himself as the chief of sinners. Think of the crowd that wants Barabbas and wants Christ crucified. They have been forgiven. Remember what Christ says on the cross? Forgiven because they know not what they're doing. And then in Acts 2, what do we see? We see Peter giving a sermon to that crowd and saying, Oh, some of you here are guilty of what? Of the murder of our Savior. And they were so compelled that at the end of that sermon, they said, Oh, what are we to do? And he said, Oh, repent and be baptized. And 3,000 came to salvation that day.
