See, when it means to consider others better than yourselves, it does not mean to put yourself down. It simply means to be considerate of the needs of others. At times, God calls us to place the needs of others above ourselves. Even when you're going through, place the needs of others above yourself. Too many people spend too much time looking inward and concerned only about their needs and the needs of those close to them. Well, I could go somewhere. See, it's understandable to worry about your needs or to worry about the needs of your mom or your dad, your brother, your sister, your son, your daughter, your husband, your wife. That is cool. And God says, that's natural and normal. But I want to take you to something that's abnormal. I wish I had a church. An abnormal believer says, I want to start worrying about the needs of not just myself, not just my inner circle of family and friends, but I want to start taking it and worrying about the needs of people I don't even know. Needs of folks of different religions and different races. Needs of people who are not ready for this. I'm talking about needs of those who even may be considered our enemies.
