Hello and welcome back. We are so delighted to have you return and to join me for another day devotion Dr. J's thoughts. Today's Dr. J's thoughts is on a series that I kind of been working on for those of you that's been following me for a while, you know, that I've been talking about feeling forward. And I've been talking about being able to overcome and to excel in the midst of failure and not allowing our failures to define our character and realize that it is our character that counts and the persistency to achieve one's destiny and passion and purpose in excellence in spite of what they're going through is all about character. And so today we're continuing that line of thought in a word to encourage you to say fail forward your necks in line for a miracle. Fail forward your necks in line for a miracle. Our reading our scripture reading today comes from Isaiah 43 18 and 19, but if it's okay, let's take a moment to pray gracious God. We thank you for the privilege to come again to be with those who are gathered here to hear and to be a part of this inspirational encouragement to be a part of this devotion to hear a word from you that would be inspirational encouraging motivational and give hope in the midst of whatever they might be going through knowing Oh God that you will take them through it and you will be the anchor and the strength that they need in the midst of any stormy circumstances and they can count on you and rely on you and you will be the answer to the unanswered questions Lord. We thank you for this time. We thank you for each and every person in the mighty magnificent name of Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen our scripture reading comes from Isaiah 43 18 through 19. It says forget the former things do not dwell on the past. See I'm doing a new thing now. It Springs up you do you not perceive it? I'm making a way in the wilderness and the streams in the wasteland and God is saying to you. Even if you're in the wasteland, even if you're stumbling and bumbling and things are just tore up from the floor. That he's doing a new thing and you're a part of that new thing and he's saying that you're next in line for a miracle, you know, I believe that there's three positions in life when we talk about Wilderness. There is when we are in the Wilderness and we're going through we're either on our way out of the Wilderness and we're going through or we're on our way back in the Wilderness and we're going through normally in life. We find ourselves going through some opportunities to excel, but the opportunities are the place where God is molding and shaping us making us in his image getting us ready for that next level living that next level promotion that next level in which he's going to bring us to you see when we are going through the various circumstances that causes us to question and the reason why and to wonder why is this happening to me? Remember to ask yourself. Why not you why not me? You know, we oftentimes say God we're ready to serve you at the next level, but the truth of the matter is if we're going to serve God in the next level, we got to be willing to encounter some struggles some pain some discomfort and we have to be able to really demonstrate a commitment. Most of us understand what commitment really means. We understand what integrity really means. We understand what faith really means. We understand what failing forward means. But when you put it all together, can we fail forward with an attitude of gratitude that said Lord, I'm going to count it all joy when I fall into diverse temptation knowing this that the triangle my faith is working patience is perfecting me for next level living. It's empowering me to be able to learn how to conduct myself in the midst of the discomforts of this universe. Can I really say Lord? Thank you for the trials and tribulations. Thank you for the revelation and the education help me to understand. Oh God that when I'm going through that I'm going through because you're preparing me for another level in you a level that I have never experienced before one that I am prepared to excel in why because God has spent the time with you in molding and shaping you at the potter's house. One could say you see challenges are opportunities for growth. Discomfort is an opportunity for acceptance. Pain is an opportunity for recovery and healing dissatisfaction and unhappiness is an opportunity for joy. You see the attitude that we elect to have is key in Paramount in how we experience what's called failure. You've heard me say this in other devotions. If you're going to succeed in failure, you must make up in your mind to embrace failure as the beginning of your comeback story through consistency growth trust and faith. We shape our destiny the circumstances of the day does not determine our way. We must believe God's word to be true and let God's word be true and every man and woman a liar, but you base what your commitment is and what your decisions are on what does says God's word and if God says you're more than a conqueror you're more than a conqueror if God says that he's making a way in the wilderness so that you can have fresh manner fresh water. Success new living. New strength that's renewed in his power then rest assured that if God said it that settles it. So stay consistency and consistent in your belief and exercise consistency in all that you do. Trust God's timing step to get the feeling you're hearing this again and again step three trust Divine timing. Forgive me. I'm sorry. Let me correct that step one. Stay consistent step to learn from failures step three. Trust Divine timing and I apologize for that. But we all make mistakes and when we make mistakes we can either elect to stop. And own them as I just did or we can try to cover them up and act like they didn't happen which lacks authenticity. You've got to be real even if you're real and it's not positive be real be honest and be true to who you are in God and God will honor you and bless you in spite of because of his. Commitment to those that will practice his word in truth and in honesty and sincerity and in love. God bless you. We thank you so much for your time today.
