Hello and welcome back once again. We're so happy to have you with us for another day, a day that we can truly celebrate and say thank you Lord for one more day, an opportunity to excel in excellence and dedication to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for all his many blessings. Today we're here with another devotion, a devotion that will have a topic that I believe that each and every one of us can grapple with, but at the same time appreciate as a part of life's journey. Today's title is Fail Forward with an Attitude of Gratitude. Fail Forward with an Attitude of Gratitude. And that can easily make you think, hmm, fail forward. Well, let's hear our scripture and then we'll go into discussing it a little bit more. Fail Forward with an Attitude of Gratitude. Hallelujah. Let us pray for one moment. Gracious God, we thank you for this opportunity to come together and we give you honor and glory for this time that we are going to spend in this morning's devotion. We ask your blessing upon each and every one of the sound of my voice and that they would be able to find comfort and get answers out of our time together in the mighty magnificent name of Jesus, the resurrected Lord. Amen. Our songs from the book of, from Songs, I'm sorry, 119-105 NIV version. Your words is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. It's a very short passage of scripture, but I think one in which is powerful in and of itself by itself because we all know that God's word can and is a lamp unto our feet. It is that reality that sometime we can be in that dark place where we are experiencing the struggle in which we sometime will call failure, sometime will call ambiguity, will sometime call uncertainty, sometime call hindrance, sometime called stumbling blocks. But whatever the name we give it, we know that we can be in that place where we feel like we're failing. And this is when I'm going to encourage us to embrace the topic that is before us for today's devotion. Fail forward with an attitude of gratitude. You know, in the midst of what we're going through, there are times when we will find ourselves asking, why me, Lord? But then I challenge yourself to ask yourself, why not you? You've been called. You've been bought with a price. God is your Lord and Savior. You have said, yes, I will go where you would have me to go. I will do what you would have me to do. So why not you? So embrace failure as the beginning of your comeback story and not as the end, but as a new beginning. Through consistency, growth, trust, unity, and faith, we shape our own destiny. We do not have to allow the stumbling blocks of the day to determine our end story. It might trip us up. It might make us drop to our knees. It might even make us stumble and fall right on our face. But the bottom line is, God is still God. He's still the Alpha. He's still the Omega. He's still our beginning and he's still our end. Let's talk about what are steps being recommended in dealing with failing forward. Step one, stay consistent. Step two, learn from failure. Step three, trust divine timing. Step four, seek comeback opportunities. Step five, harness unity's power. Now remember, the encouragement is always that you will take our time together in this brief devotion as just an opportunity and an invitation for you to read what our devotion is for today. So our time together is normally just a little recap to whet your appetite for what's to come.
