Greetings. It's so nice to be back with you once again. Today's thought is entitled Cultivating Gratitude on Your Spiritual Journey. Cultivating Gratitude on Your Spiritual Journey. Gratitude is a very powerful word and it has a lot within it that requires unpacking to truly appreciate the strength, the humility, the wisdom that comes in gratitude. 1 Thessalonians 5 and 18 NIV version says, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. As I spoke to you last time we were together, I had reflected upon how important it is to not get caught up in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, so much so that we don't appreciate the challenges in change and being a change agent. Today I'm going to talk to you about gratitude. Gratitude is more than just saying thank you for good things that come your way. It's a profound shift in perspective, a way of seeing the world through the lenses of abundance rather than scarcity. When we cultivate gratitude we open our hearts to the beauty of the present moment and recognize the divine grace that permeates our lives. An attitude of gratitude can give us the latitude to be able to make monumental accomplishments and monumental achievements, but we must believe in ourselves. We must understand that that attitude of gratitude has to be in place not because we are working within our minds with victory, but we're working with the victory of Christ. He was already hung up for our hang-ups, so we don't start any battle based on our own ability and our own will, but with the gratitude for what God has done when he hung on the hill of Golgotha, the place of the skull, and made a way out of no way that we might have life and have it more abundantly. He paved an understanding that we can have, that we can count it all joy when we fall into diverse temptation, knowing that the trying of our faith work is patience, but that he will make a way out of no way if we'll keep an attitude of gratitude and abide in his word and allow his word to abide in us. And that's the great news, that if we cultivate gratitude on our spiritual journey, we'll have success at its best and we'll never have to settle for less. God bless you. This is Dr. J and I'm looking forward to being with you the next time. Have a super fantastic day. God bless you.
