Hey Faith-Based Family, I had a memory from when I lived in Costa Rica. I remember my buddy and I were driving up these little dirt roads, very steep mountains, up and down. I'm terrified. It's kind of a steep drop-off cliff on one side of the car and I'm not sure if we're gonna make it up. I'm not sure if we're gonna make it down. I do know that once you start the incline there's no turning around. You know, a narrow road. Once you're going down, you're committed. There's no way you're gonna stop and go back up. And I've got all this angst inside of me and my buddy who's driving turns and looks at me and he's like, isn't this awesome? And in my mind I'm like, what's wrong with Chris? He's like, isn't this amazing? But my attitude was very different than his. And isn't it interesting how different our perspectives were? I say that to say that we need to make sure we have the attitude of Christ. What a hard challenge, right? Philippians 2, let your attitude be the same as that of Christ Jesus. So I think that means not only a positive attitude, which is incredible that we get to be in control of our attitude, but also in terms of seeing other people. If they don't know the Lord then they're valuable treasures to them, right? If they do know the Lord, even if they're making us crazy, well they're sons and daughters and so we need to love and honor them. So I encourage you just do a self-check of how is your attitude today? And maybe it's amazing, but I wonder if the Lord's inviting us into having his kind of attitude where when something feels hard or difficult we see it as an opportunity. Opportunity to like seek the Lord, anticipate the Lord working, draw closer to Him as opposed to a burden. I do remember that same friend, Chris, when I was going through something hard, he's like, oh man, what a great opportunity you have just to seek the Lord and see Him work. And so I just pray that today our hearts and minds would be, we'd have this same attitude as Christ Jesus. Loving, serving in humility, but just trusting in the goodness of the Lord. Faithfully stewarding what we have, but knowing that he's who he says he is. Blessings to you today.
