Hey faith-based family and friends, blessings to you today. Hey, I wonder, do you consider yourself to be a logical person? Some people just have a higher logical aptitude and capability. I ask you because in John 13, there's this story that you're probably familiar with, but it just strikes me as so illogical. See, there's this verse, and it says in John 13, it says, Jesus knew that he'd come from the Father, he was returning to the Father, and he knew that everything had been put under his dominion, right? And then the next word is, so. See, logically, if Jesus knew he'd come from the Father, he was returning to the Father, knew that he had dominion over everything, so logically makes sense. So he revealed his glory, and he received praise and glory, right? Or kind of like Mount at Transfiguration, he would shine and reveal himself, but that's not what it says. It says he knew he'd come from the Father, he knew he was returning to the Father, he knew he had dominion over everything, so he took off his outer garment, he washed their feet. Like, logically, this makes no sense. He knew who he was, he knew whose he was, he knew where he was going, and what did he do? He washed their feet, right? I mean, logically, you check your app on your phone, you see that it might rain, so logic tells you, I'll take a raincoat or an umbrella. That's logic. Now, this makes no sense at all with Jesus, unless, unless this is a picture of kingdom logic. I'm referring to something other than worldly, earthly logic. What if kingdom logic is that our response should be love, humility, and service? It's a hard pill to swallow, at least for me, but what a beautiful example that Jesus gives us. So I invite you to process, are we thinking logically in terms of the world, or are we thinking in terms of kingdom logic? It wasn't logical that Jesus loved us and died for us while we're still sinners, while we're enemies. That's not logical at all. So I just pray that we would reciprocate the same lavish love that we have received. Would our kingdom logic be to return with kindness and service and humility? I've been studying lately about the most effective way to spread the gospel. I used to think it would be to develop these very impressive theological arguments of proving God's existence, but it's actually through kindness and love and humility. So I just bless you and encourage you, just as you continue to receive from the love of the Father, that you share it with others, just with kindness and humility, and that your kingdom logic and kingdom living will make an impact around you. Blessings to you today as we continue to renew our minds to think more like Jesus. Have a great day.
