Hey Faith-Based Family, blessings to you today. I hope you're doing well. I was talking with my son just a few minutes ago and I asked him, son, what do you think I should do my next devotional on? And his response was, Dad, what do you most need to hear from the Lord? I thought, what a great question. I wonder, what do you most need to hear from the Lord? And I felt like the Lord made it clear quickly what I most needed to hear. See, to be honest, my brain has been distracted and divided lately, stressed and preoccupied. I felt like what I needed to hear from him was the simple phrase, I got you. Now, that's not how I speak. My generation doesn't speak that way, but I have the privilege of working with several younger pastors, between 14 to 18, 19 years younger than me, and that's just common rhetoric for them. They always say, I got you, and they do something very kind, and take care of me, or buy me a meal, or just treat me with just, um, with such love. And I just felt like I needed to hear the Lord say, I got you. And Lord, immediately, just by the Holy Spirit, brought to mind Romans chapter 8. Such a beautiful chapter. It says things like, there's no condemnation for those who are in Christ. It says that we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us. We're called sons and daughters. It says that we get to call God Abba, which is this sweet, affectionate, intimate term for daddy. It says that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us, and moans and groans too deep for understanding how amazing Holy Spirit's praying for us. It says that we're more than conquerors. God works all things together for our good. Nothing can separate us from his love. It says that we're heirs. Oh, wow. Romans chapter 8. My question for you is, what what is it you need to hear from the Lord? And if you find yourself with a few minutes today, or even if you don't make a few minutes, read through Romans chapter 8. Just the power and the beauty of these statements. Oh, it's just reassuring. Just brings peace to the mind and the heart. I pray the Lord gives you peace in your heart and your mind today. Will the Lord just reveal his love and his tenderness for you? And would you just rest knowing that you get to call him daddy, that Holy Spirit lives within you, Holy Spirit intercedes for you, and that he works all things for the good of those who love him. Blessings to you today.
