Hey faith-based family, blessings to you today. I have a question for you. If you knew that you were with loved ones for the last time in your life, what would you say to them? What would you communicate? Well, the answer is kind of obvious, you'd communicate the depth of your love, right? But if that had already been communicated, what else would you say? Well, you process it, you would probably think, what's most important, right? You wouldn't do those little things that sometimes my wife will remind me, don't forget to use your app so you get reward points. That kind of thing doesn't matter, right? Don't forget, kids eat free this night of the week. I mean, those things are insignificant. You think, what is most important for me to pass along? And I say that because in Acts chapter 1, Jesus says his last words. He's already, he's died on the cross, he's risen from the dead, and he's about to ascend to the Father. And he speaks to his followers and he says his last words. He's already communicated love through his actions in a way that, in a way that can never be communicated through words, through what he did on the cross for his people. But he says this, he says, wait here for the gift that the Father is going to send you. Isn't that beautiful? And the Father, the one who spoke the world into existence, is sending a gift. We know it's a good gift. It's not a gift from the Dollar Tree, right? So he says, wait here, and then the disciples and the followers are like, well, is this the time that he's gonna restore his kingdom? And Jesus says, this isn't, this isn't for us to worry about. These are things that the Father knows, but they're not for us to meddle with. So we can seek, and obviously we'll know God's Word and his plan and will, but he says this, he says, the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and when he does, two things will happen. One, you will receive power, and two, you will be my witnesses. So I encourage you today to receive this. Ephesians 1 and Romans 8 both tell us that if you are a believer, if you profess Christ as your Savior, then you have the Holy Spirit as a seal and a deposit. And so we've been given a power to be his witnesses, and I encourage you to see that as what we're called to do right now. Basically, we're just waiting for Jesus to return. We know he will return. He's promised it. His Word says it. So while we wait, let's remember that we've been empowered to be his witnesses. I don't know what that looks like for you in your day-to-day, in your routine, in your interactions, but know you've been empowered to be his witness, and I believe you can do it. I believe how we live as believers makes the gospel attractive, and I'll explain that more in future devotionals. But blessings to you today. You've been empowered. Let's be faithful to be the witnesses he's called us to be. Let's remember this is our purpose, and it's a get-to. What a high honor. What a privilege for us. Not a have-to, but like, wow, we get to be part of this. So blessings to you as you bear witness to the love of a Father who is pouring out his grace on us, even as we're unaware of it. Have a great day.
