Hello Faith-Based Family Blessings today. I hope this message finds you well. I remembered something that happened while I was living in Costa Rica. There's a young man, teenage boy, who my family, we just really loved him, and he had a special place in our hearts. He'd gone through some hard things. He was actually living by himself, and his home was wooden, more like a barn. It only had three walls actually. It wasn't even enclosed. To get to his home, you would go down the dirt roads, and then there was like a hanging suspended bridge you had to cross across. It was over a river to get to his home, and I remember one weekend I kept trying to get a hold of him, get a hold of him, but he just wasn't responding, and I was worried about him. So I finally went out to him, and I climbed across the bridge, which was damaged from a flood, and I got to his house, but he wasn't there, and left a message with the neighbor. The neighbor had him contact me, which I was so relieved to hear from him, but I said, where have you been? Are you okay? And he told me that he'd been in his church, and he said they had some meetings. They're planning and prepping because they're going to Guatemala to care for those with needs, and I'm just blown away at this young man living in such humble conditions with his dirt floor and this three-wall barn, and I just convicted just simply be faithful with what we have. The Lord uses it. I remember in Mark 14, there's an account where Jesus anointed another time, and they're upset with a woman who anoints Jesus because they said the money could have been used for other things, and Jesus says, hey, she did what she could, and I say that as an encouragement to us. Let's just be faithful to do what we can. The pressure's off. I don't think the Lord wants us to walk in great pressure. I sure don't want my kids to live in great pressure. I want them to walk in freedom and joy, but let's be intentional and mindful of being faithful to use what we have for his sake, remembering that all that we have and all we are, it's his. We're just stewards of it, so I encourage you to be faithful with what the Lord's entrusted to you. I know he's given you spiritual gifts, your time, your resources, whatever it might be. I encourage you to use it for the kingdom, and just like the woman who anointed Jesus, she did what she could, just like my friend in Costa Rica. He did what he could. Let's do what we can. Let's trust the Lord. We can throw the seeds, and I'm just confident and certain that he will do what he can with the seeds. His word doesn't return void. So blessings to you as you use your gifts for the kingdom today, as you give an encouraging word, a hug, a smile, as you sow into a ministry. May the Lord bless you. I want to come back to you in multiple fold. Blessings to you today.
