Hey faith-based family blessings to you today. I just want to give you a quick encouragement From a character named Philip. I'm not referring to Philip as in one of the twelve disciples But rather from Acts chapter 6 you see the church early church was facing Problem with food distribution for the widows and so they selected these basically these deacons to distribute food And one of them was a gentleman named Philip. They called him Philip the evangelist On Acts chapter 8 Phillips leading this incredible revival casting out evil spirits Healing people sharing the gospel and the multitudes are being converted coming to faith in Jesus And then Lord calls him to go south. He might remember this and he just obeys in my mind I would have thought well Lord huge things are happening here Why do you want me to leave but that's not what he did. He just simply obeyed and he headed south he came across a Eunuch an Ethiopian eunuch who was struggling with the scriptures. He explained the scriptures after the Holy Spirit spoke to him to do this and Ethiopian eunuch said well Why not baptize me now, so he baptized him Ethiopian eunuch when he came up out of the water. The Holy Spirit had Transported Philip to another city over 20 miles away, and we don't know did he teleport him? Did he fly up? We don't really know but I remember reading about this and just being like so excited This is amazing Phillips doing incredible things and then turning the page and looking for Philip in Acts chapter 9 and he's not there Like what happened to Philip? What else did he do and I look in Acts chapter 10 and 11 and 12 and he's not there and I kept wondering Where's the rest of Philip's story? And you know what? I found the rest of his story in Acts chapter 21 So remember that acts is a book about the gift of the Holy Spirit the birth of the church But also about the missionary journeys of Paul and with Peter and so next 21 Paul arrives and it says that he stays with Philip the Evangelist Paul and his team now remember This is the same Philip that we're talking about from Acts 6 and Acts 8 and it says Philip the Evangelist Who had four daughters who prophesied? So as I asked well, what's Philip been up to all this time he was investing in his daughters Teaching his daughters how to hear God's voice and then how to proclaim it and just say that whether we're being faithful with the one Ethiopian unit the one person or we're in front of the multitudes or we're at home with our kids Teaching them just to hear God's voice. How do we do that by teaching them God's Word? By teaching them God's character and his love and his kindness I just want to encourage you regardless of where you are With you're with the one with the multitudes or in your home taking care of your little people Like I find myself doing it all matters It's all for Kingdom if we have the right attitude and right perspective and Lord can use it in incredible ways How amazing that Philip stewarded? Well, what was in his home to what a blessing and encouragement So I encourage you as as you are seeking to advance the kingdom know that the Lord's he's empowered you He's giving me the same Holy Spirit. He uses you with your family with stopping for the one Be faithful and he'll work in great ways. He can do a lot with a little blessings to you today
