Hey, Faith-Based Family, blessings to you. I just want to give you an encouragement. I was struck today by Exodus 34, it's this list of commandments which we read and we can miss the intent and the intent of the Lord saying, I love you so much, I want what's best for you, I want to protect you and guide you, my laws and my rules are actually in your best interest, I'm not looking to limit your fun, but I want to protect you from the consequences of sin, the harm it does to yourself, the harm it does to your relationship with the Lord, the harm it does to others, but there's this beautiful part in Exodus 34 where it says that God is jealous for us, and it's right in the midst of listing these commandments, and I say that as a reminder, just, the Lord is so jealous for you, but He's jealous He doesn't even have like a hint of sin in it, when I think of times I've felt very jealous, some of it's pure, and some of it's always tainted with sin, but His love is so like intense for you, I encourage you, as you're going about your day, whether you're washing dishes or driving the car, set a little reminder or an alarm or write it on a post-it note just to remember and think about, He's jealous for me, let that be an encouragement that the one who spoke the universe into existence is jealous for you, and jealous for your heart, has your best interest in mind, and loves you so deeply, He's jealous for you, and He loves you for more than you can imagine, so I don't know about if you're like me, but I am prone to forget, so I always set alarms on my phone or reminders on an app or even write it down, but do something so that you remember He's jealous for you, He loves you so much, He wants what's best for you, He desires your heart.
