Good morning once again as we are thinking about the Bible and thinking about love winding down here and 1 Corinthians chapter 13 now at verse 7 7 C love is always hopeful always hopes and once again our hope in the life of another person or the progress or the behavior or the the growth of another person is actually grounded in our hope in the Lord Jesus Christ when we have this strength of hope knowing that the Lord will continue to fulfill his promises in the lives of his people so this is kind of a I would say dangerous ground for us but we can be we need to be careful not to be haughty and think well I sure hope that they you know can grow up in the Lord Jesus Christ and become something of an arrogance rather than an actual love so to hope that someone will progress to have hope for someone and their life to have hope that the Lord Jesus Christ is going to nurture and grow and to bring forth the the new creation in a person is grounded in love and it is rejoicing as we've already seen in the the progress and in the good things that happen in a person's life so to love is to hope and again we can see this on a global basis now I'm not saying that we hope that everyone goes to heaven or something even though they don't know Jesus Christ what I'm saying is that we can have hope that the promises that God has for his creation will find their fulfillment in the lives of individual people and of course in the creation as a whole but when we show love or when we express love we want to have hope that God's promises will come to fruition in his people and those promises made concerning his creation will likewise find their completion so today as we think about love we want to think about hope we want to think about why we have hope and that is of course what Jesus has done for us and what he who he is and what he has done for his people and for creation indeed and so today I want you to think about it that way think about hope having hope think about the people in your life that sometimes you kind of hopeless you don't think that they're ever going to change even as you do that examine your own life and make sure that you're not approaching this with arrogance or pride again that's not loving I want to approach this with a heart that says I love this person I want to see the best I hope for the best in their life as they grow in Christ like this I want them to be blessed in every way and I'm expressing that hope in my love toward them so thinking about love today thinking about hope we will see you tomorrow and we will conclude this series thinking about love and make a very brief introduction to the next series in thinking about the Bible thank you see you tomorrow God bless you
