Hi Faith-Based Family, blessings to you. My name is Adam Vaughn. It's a real privilege for me to get to share with you and encourage you and invite you in pursuing the Lord as I walk alongside you. I am from Knoxville, Tennessee. I currently serve as a pastor. My family and I, which my wife and I and four kids, were missionaries for seven years in Central America and we moved back in 2022. But it is an honor for me to get to share on this platform. I want you to know a couple of things. I think having lived abroad in a underdeveloped country for seven years, my perspective is a little different on the church, on the Christian living, even on spiritual formations. And so I'm excited about getting to share these things as as I seek the Lord with you. I do want you to know, first, I really invite and welcome your prayer requests. It'd be a privilege for me to get to pray for you. But also want you to let you know that I challenged, instead of coming to scripture with a question, what does this have to do with me? Let's come to it with a question, what does this reveal about the Lord? It's not all about us. Sometimes we'll come with that question, what does this have to do with me? And we miss that it's revealing God's plan, God's character, His nature, His heart, His mercies, His tenderness, or His power and His sovereignty. So I invite you to have that mindset. But I also want to let you know that I'll bring complete authenticity. I don't have it all figured out. Still, still part of the journey with you. Struggling along the way, but grateful for the tenderness and the mercies. And I say that even as the Lord invited us to serve on the mission field, it was always from a posture of the Lord just like lovingly inviting us, like a dad with his arms wide open. And I want you to receive that invitation today of a loving father with his arms wide open, lovingly, tenderly inviting you into greater intimacy. So it's a blessing to get to be a part of this with you. I look forward to hearing from you. And I bless you in the name of Jesus today.
