Hey folks, how we doing? It's a beautiful day here in Southern Ohio. I hope you're doing alright. We are going to shift gears into a new series. And what's kind of got me thinking about this, at least by way of introduction, is this ridiculous 80s song by Hathaway. I don't know if you know this song. What is love? Baby, don't hurt me. Right? Like, don't hurt me no more. This ridiculous SNL sketch uses this song. It's a very popular song. You probably heard it. If you don't, go listen to it at least just one time. One time, alright? That song is probably taking that band all the way to the bank, set them up for retirement. What is love? We have got to ask that question probably a little bit more because odds are you and your loved ones, your friends, probably have something different come to mind when love is on the table, right? What does it mean to really love someone well? What does it mean to love your neighbor well, right? Love is central to our faith. God is love. That's 1 John 4, 9. God is defined by love. And Jesus says the most important commandment in all of scripture is love God with all your heart, with all your mind, and with all your soul and all your strength. And love your neighbor as yourself. These are hands down some of the most important scriptures in our faith. We've got to know what is love. We've got to have a really good definition for that. I don't want to be talking about my tacos the same way I talk about my wife. I love them both, but it's different, right? In the same way that I love God. Okay. We've got to get a good definition for this. We're going to dig into 1 Corinthians 13 piece by piece. Okay. Um, hope you're with me on this. Jump into the poll. What is love to you? Um, what have you heard? What do you think of when it comes to love? Let's talk about this. Peace.
