Hey folks, I mentioned in my first video that I am passionate about the person of Jesus and I thought there's no better way to kick off this faith-based journey for me and likely for you with a series on Jesus and what he's taught and specifically what it means to pray. So there's this scene where the disciples go to Jesus and they say, Lord, teach us to pray like John the Baptist taught his disciples. Teach us. And this is one of the few times that Jesus really gives them a straight answer and he just says, all right, this is how you should pray. Let me ask you though, are you interested in learning more about how to pray, how to pray better or how to, how to really know what to do, what to say? Is prayer that sounds something that sounds kind of boring to you? Is it sound like a task that you need to accomplish? Let's check the box. Is it a place where you meet God? Is it a place where you really enjoy meeting, meeting with him? The disciples wanted more and I think we all ought to want more in our prayer life because that's our main place to connect with Jesus. Jesus says, hey, when you go to prayer, start this way, says father. Well the word is Abba, it's daddy, right? It's intimate. This is the point of prayer is to grow in intimacy with God. And if it's not that, well, we got to reevaluate what we're doing. The rest of the prayer I think teaches us a lot about what it means to grow in intimacy with the, with our father. And let's keep that in mind. But let's really consider how do we feel when we go to pray? Think about that. Hang in there, peace.
