Good morning, everybody. I just want to take some time this morning to address something that I feel God has put on my heart regarding a specific phrase and a thought process and theme that is common amongst believers. I hear a lot of people say, well, it's been a long time since I've heard from God. And maybe that's you. Maybe you're in this season where you feel distant, you feel apart, you feel like you haven't heard from him. And my first question to you is, when's the last time you opened up your Bible? And I don't mean hearing word from the preacher on Sundays or dabbling with it on a daily devotional. I mean, when is the last time you opened up your Bible and spend intimate time with God reading his word? Because scripture tells us that the Bible is a living, breathing word of God. It is God. The word was with God. The word is God. Right. And 1 Peter 2, 1 through 3, we see him saying, therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander like newborn babies long for the pure milk of the word so that by it you may grow and respect the salvation. If you have tasted the kindness of the Lord, in order for us to spiritually grow as Christians, we have to get into the word. We have to spend intimate time digesting the word, being in the word, allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal to us the observations and the applications of the word because the word is God. That is his word, living, breathing word of God. If we want to hear from him, all we simply have to do is open up our Bible. So I want to issue a challenge to you this week. I want you to go into your phone, go into the settings and find and find the area where it shows you your screen time, because I promise you, you spend a lot more time on your phone than you think you do. I want you to carve out that time and set it aside and be intentional with the word of God. I want you to set time throughout your day where you stop doing everything. You put everything to the side and you're intentional about growing your walk with Christ. You sit down, you open up the Bible and you read and you talk and you spend time with him. If you have questions, if you don't understand what's being said, get on your little Google machine and Google commentaries. There is a numerous and vast amount of resources that will help you understand what's being said in scripture. I recommend during word.com. It's great. It's basic, a simple rundown, and it helps you understand what's being said in the Bible. For those of you with questions again, in order for us to grow in our walk, in our spirituality, in order for us to mature as Christians, we have to get involved with the word. We have to read the word of God because I also hear a lot of times, you know, I'm feeling apart from God. Well, guess what? If you're feeling apart from God, guess who moved? Because the Bible, the scripture tells us, I will never leave you. I will never forsake you. I'm always with you. So I issue a challenge. Be intentional. Spend time in the word. Spend time with God. Digest what he's saying to you and watch as your life changes. As always, stay frosty mis amigos and never forget Jesus loves you.
