Hello there Saints and Defenders of the Faith. Today I want to talk about something that that people sometimes get they misunderstand when it comes to prayer. Today we're going to talk about prayer and we a few videos back we're talking about how we can trust the Bible and yes we can definitely trust the Bible. We can definitely trust what the Word of God says. We can definitely trust what God says he will do to and for us in the future in our life. But what causes some people to get in trouble or misunderstand or start to doubt the Word of God is when they pray something and it doesn't come or when they pray something and they say that well I prayed and I believe that A B or C will happen and God didn't allow that or God didn't let it happen or God abandoned me or God wasn't there. These bad things or whatever happened to us and to me in my life. And then they use some scriptures that says well the Bible says if we ask anything in God's in Jesus name then then it will come. The reason why this is in apologetics is to remember I said earlier we need to understand what God's Word say and then interpret it correctly. Some people use that word use that scripture ask anything in Jesus name and they think that it means that you add Jesus name to the end of your prayer. Like it's some combination or some something that will make sure that that prayer come to pass. But that is not what it's saying. That is not what that means. When we pray and ask anything in Jesus name that means we ask anything that is according to his will. That means if we ask anything according to what he would do or what he agrees with not asking when we ask something in his name it does not mean adding his name to the end of our prayer. You can pray without adding his name to the end of it but if it is according to his will it will come to pass for you. And now it might not come to pass today it may be next week next month the next year I don't know that's God's planning but it will definitely come to pass and I want to read a couple scriptures actually one of the scriptures that I was want to read I'm laughing because some people say well I only believe in the red letters of the Bible because the red letters is what Jesus wrote. I'm telling you can believe in all of it but I'll go ahead and read the red letters for you for those of you who only believe in the red letters okay so here the scripture says this is Jesus okay for those of you who believe in the red letters this is in a John chapter 14 I'm starting at verse 12 it says that most assuredly I say unto you he who believes in me the work that I do I do he will do also and greater works than these will he do and it says that because this is why because I go to my father and whatsoever now this is Jesus said and whatsoever you ask in my name remember that means according to his will that I will do that the father may be glorified in the son and it says in verse 14 again if you ask anything in my name I will do it remember in his name is according to his will I want to to help us to understand that that is the case by reading where first John the first John chapter chapter 5 verse 14 verse John chapter 5 first 4 verse 14 it says now this is the confidence that we have in him that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us and if we hit we know that he hears us whatever we ask we know that we have the partition that we have requested of him so again brothers and sisters it is asking according to his will and we know that God's will is for you to be blessed and when I say blessed I don't mean for you to drive around in a Rolls Royce and live in a million-dollar home but I know that what God calls blessed is blessed and you know what to find out what that is to find out what God's will is is to get into his word study his word to know what his word says and interpret it correctly and until we see you next time may God and all of his power and blessings be with you in Jesus name Amen
