Hey, good morning everybody. Bible verse today is Romans 8 28. And we know that God calls us all things to work together for the good to those called according to his purpose. When I was in high school I had the honor of winning the Jay Barker FCA Leadership Award and they gave it to different people from different schools and we got to go to this banquet and I got to meet Jay Barker and granted this was in the 90s and it was a big deal to meet Jay Barker back then. And of course everybody got his autograph and he signed it Romans 8 28. So it made me go back and really look and dig into it because we all love the first part of that verse. We love the first part where it says we know all things all things God calls us all things to work together for good for those who love God. And man I've seen people use that verse and say that means God has everything good and all the things that I have defined as good all the things that I think are good all the things that I think should be good today God's gonna do all those things for me. Well there's a second part to that verse. To those who are called according to his purpose. See that's got to be our goal today and I pray that that is your goal today. I pray your goal today is to do all things for his purpose his will and we'll have some devotions about how to discern God's will coming down the line but that's the key to the good part. The key to God doing all those good things in our lives is are we doing it for his will? Are we doing it for his glory? And if we are living our lives today for his glory for his will everything is going to turn out for the good. So I want to encourage you today what's God's will for you? How can you love somebody? How can you serve somebody? How can you represent Jesus to somebody today who's hurting and in pain? How can you bring glory and honor to Jesus today? And watch the good happen. For all things happen for the good those who love God and called according to his purpose.
