The football team rolled our neighborhood. Nothing to be upset about - it's all about being part of the community.

Well, everybody, I wanted to show you something that we woke up to this morning. It is homecoming week here in our community, and some of the football players felt the need to roll our yard. I had one of our neighbors ask if we were upset about it, and truthfully, no, they didn't damage anything. They didn't hurt anything. They just threw some toilet paper on some trees and some bushes. It's just part of being in community, and it reminds me of the passage that we looked at last Sunday where Jesus was sitting down with the sinners, he was sitting down with the prostitutes and tax collectors, that he was an active part of his community. So I want to encourage you this morning, be a part of your community. It's great that you have small groups. It's great that you have a Sunday school class. It's great that you have a church family that you love, but eventually we have to get out of the church. We have to get out of our little holy huddles of people that encourage us and help us be able to learn God's word and pray for us, but we need to be like Jesus. Jesus hung out with the disciples, yes, but he was also part of his greater community, and that's how we can be successful in the Great Commission, taking the gospel into all the world in Acts 1-8, starting right here in our own Jerusalem and taking it to the uttermost parts of the world, being part of our greater community. Am I upset that these young guys rolled my yard? No. It's just part of being in community. I'm glad to be a part of community, and I want to encourage you, identify your greater community. Go out into it, love people, serve people, show them Jesus in your community. Listen, God bless. Have a great day. If I can pray for you, just shoot me a message. Let us know. We'd love to be able to pray and serve you any way we can. Amen.
