There is an old saying that "if the Devil can't make you bad, he'll make you busy." Some thoughts on being busy and when to take a moment to remember to be still and connect with God.

Hey good morning everybody. We're gonna take a little break from our Roman study this morning because I wanted to talk about busyness. I'm in my truck right now. I've got a whole bunch of things planned today and it reminded me of an old saying. It's if the devil can't make you bad, he'll make you busy. If he can't tempt us and move us to sin, what he'll do is he'll fill our life with so many things that we view as priorities that we forget about the main priority and that's our relationship with Christ. In over ten times in Scripture it says to be still. Most of the times it's about being still and connecting with God. Be still and know that I'm the Lord. Be still and pray. Really it's about calming our mind, calming our schedule, calming our heart. So I want to encourage you if you find yourself in a position kind of where I'm at today and you just got a lot on your plate, take a moment and just be still. Be still and know that Jesus is in charge. Be still and know that he can guide your steps. Again, all those things you need to do are probably very important. I'm not saying put those things aside. What I'm saying is just be still. Be still today. Pay attention. Make sure it's not the devil making you busy because he can't make you bad. Listen, I'm praying for you guys. You can comment below if there's any way that I can pray for you. If you have any questions or any way that we can interact, I'd love to be able to do that with you. So God bless. Guys, have a great day today.
