Hey, y'all, I am heading to my boy's school. They have their they do a big like obstacle course run thing as their one fundraiser for the year for the PTO. And so I'm on my way to get to go see that and stuff. But um, so we are going to be starting a brand new series. I'm so excited. My husband and I this is where it came from. My husband and I love to watch The Chosen and if you're unfamiliar, The Chosen is put on by I think they're called Angel Media. But it is a 100% free series on Jesus. Now if you're thinking old school Christian publication and especially free views, it's probably going to be low key budget, low key acting, whatever, no, y'all. This is like, I swear, like the best quality I have ever seen. And truthfully, the reason that we like to watch these shows is because, you know, if you grew up in Sunday school culture, especially down here in the south, you have the the Feltboard Sunday School where it was the Feltboard Noah and the Feltboard Ark and the Feltboard Jesus. And it was great because it was like told the stories and I remember those stories. I'm not knocking it. But just the way life is, it is so easy to forget that the Bible is not a fiction story that we it just, it's not like we think it's a fairy tale. But sometimes I know that I really do not consider the fact that Joseph and Noah and Isaac and Abraham, like they were legitimately real human beings. And it just brings the human element to life, especially with Jesus and his disciples. I love at the end of one of the Gospels, I can't think of it at the moment, but one of the Gospel writers, I think it may have been John, I don't know, do not quote me on that. But he says at the very end, it's like if we were to record all of the words, teachings, happenings, miracles of Jesus, it would, the world would be covered in books like there's absolutely no way to fully capture the ministry and life of Jesus. And so there are so many stories of the Bible that leave me wanting more. And so to see Jesus, a lot of it is creative liberties. They have worked with theologians and scholars to be sure that they're not portraying anything that would be incorrect. However, you see at the wedding in Cana, you see them and you see the buddies like arm in arm laughing at one of their friends who they, what they say, dances like a two left footed camel or something. They were legitimately real people. And to think about that brings to life the faith and it brings the hope that we read in scripture to resonate so much more when we remember that it is factual. It is real life. It is reality. And so that's why I figured you don't even have to watch the show. And a lot of people don't like TV and I don't, I do not have a thing about it, but the stories that are covered in the chosen happen to be some of my most favorite of the gospels. So you can watch along and I'm basically going to just say, okay, from episode one, this story of the Bible, this story from the gospels, um, let's dive into that for a quick second. So that basically is what it is. That's the essence of it. And so I hope that you'll join us.
