Embracing His Peace, Day 7, The Beings, or The Background, Paul reminds readers through today's verse of how it is they belong to the body of Christ, faith in Jesus. The verse, Ephesians chapter 2, verses 17 and 18, He came and preached to you who were far away. He also preached peace to those who were near. Through Christ, we both come to the Father by the power of the Holy One, the steam. What does this mean to me and how can I apply it to my life today? This verse from Ephesians really helps us to see that Jesus came and preached peace to all, for all. There are none holier than another. And while you may know a pastor, a friend, or colleague who just seems to be privileged with an easier life, we all have the exact same access to God. Our circumstances may not be equal. We may have struggled through more difficult situations than the people around us, but we are given the exact same access to Jesus, His love, His healing, and His peace. Your past does not limit you from coming to Him. In fact, He is begging you to reach out and come to Him. Jesus came and leveled the playing field. He forgave our sins so that we all would have access to Him. No mistakes from our past or hurt committed against us could ever prevent us from coming to Him. He wants you to come to Him so that He can take those burdens from your shoulders and heal those broken places in your heart. Pray and ask for His peace today.
