Embracing His Peace, Day Five, the Beans or the Background. Today's verse is one of my absolute favorites. I really encourage you to try to memorize it or parts of it, as it really does come in handy quite a lot. The verse, Philippians chapter 4, verses 6 and 7. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God, and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. The theme, what does this mean to me, and how can I apply it to my life today? This week, we've taken a look at the part we play in finding peace. We are called to actively seek it and live it out, but it all begins with faith. We have to have faith that Jesus is dwelling in our hearts, that He is providing for our needs and can replace our worry with His peace. Take a moment to reflect on your relationship with Him. As you read today's verse, do you honestly believe what it says? Pray. Ask God to reveal those weak areas in your heart and to guide you in how to strengthen them.
